Q. Is it safe?
A. There are many safety measures built into the Automower. The blades are set back from the perimeter of the mower, well out of the reach of fingers. The mower shuts off if it is lifted or tilted, and it reverses direction if it bumps into something.
Q. Where do the clippings go?
A. The clippings are not collected. They are very fine, decompose quickly, and help fertilize your lawn.
Q. it looks like it would be fun to ride on!
A. The Automower is a lawnmower, not a riding toy. It is not designed to carry weight and allowing a child to ride on it will void the warranty.
Q. How long does the battery last?
A. Battery life depends on the number of charging cycles and temperature. You can expect up to three years of life before replacing the battery.
Q. This seems like a lazy way to mow. I need the exercise.
A. The Automower frees you to be more productive. It is not necessary to watch it mow, so you can leave it alone to work. With the extra time Automower gives you, you could go to the park with your children, take the dog for a run, go on a long bicycle ride, or spend more time at the gym.
Q. Can it rake leaves, too?
A. The Automower does not pull leaves up off the lawn, so it will not mulch them. Large amounts of leaves should be raked or swept.
Q. Won’t the random mowing leave strange patterns in my yard?
A. The Automower grooms your grass, removing small amounts of grass at each mowing. Since it does not cut much grass, and because it is lightweight, it does not track the grass like a conventional mower. Your lawn will always look well groomed, without tracks.
Q. What makes the Automower green?
A. The Automower is environment-friendly in many ways. Since it does not use gasoline, there are no refueling fumes released to damage the ozone, and no carbon dioxide emissions. The charging station is very energy efficient, using only 20kW or less of electricity each month. Chemical fertilizer use can be reduced or eliminated, thanks to the nutrition of the cut grass. It is extremely quiet, reducing noise pollution, and the mower is manufactured from 90% recycled material.
